Pytski who?

Pytski (prononciation like peets-key) is the alter ego of Pieter Kanters, born May 24th 1985 in the Netherlands. He has always been addicted to music, and after checking out tons of material he started mixing himself, somewhere around february 2005. His first mashup (Black Eyed Peas vs Gwen Stefani) receiving airplay on Dutch national radio station 3FM made him continue this journey. During the years he delivered mashups and mixes that are being broadcast on radio stations throughout the world, as wel as being included in podcasts or played in pubs & discotheques worldwide.

Contineously broadening his musical taste, he likes a wide range of music such as pop, dance, rock, disco and so on. Especialy 'recycling' samples out of songs from the past into modern music gets his attention, for instance as in his all-time favorites, "I Think I Like It" by Fake Blood (2009) and S'Express - Theme from S-Express (1988). In the world of mashups and mixes he's a fan of 2manydjs / Radio Soulwax, AudioWax, Go Home Productions and gets influenced by the bootleg / mashup community.

Besides the music he's addicted to L&P, as he's totally keen on all things 'kiwi'. Aye, Aotearoa's sweet as.
